Consumer Forum

Consumer Forums in India are quasi-judicial bodies established under the Consumer Protection Act 1986 (now replaced by the Consumer Protection Act 2019). They operate at three levels: the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) at the national level, State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commissions at the state level, and District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commissions at the district level.

The court has jurisdiction over Consumer disputes across all levels — District, State, and National. Cases filed at the Consumer Forum include civil appeals, criminal appeals, writ petitions, company matters, and constitutional questions.
